Fun Reading Worksheets 2

This is a packet of 24 worksheets made for the beginner reader.

The packet contains:

• 8 worksheets where you draw a line from the word on the left to match the picture on the right.
• 8 Worksheets with 2 words under one picture and you circle the one word that goes best with the picture, and
• 8 worksheets with 2 sentences under one picture and you circle the one sentence that goes best with the picture.

All of the words in this packet are 4 to 5 letter SHORT VOWEL WORDS, such as: step, lift, frog, check, tent...

I give my own son, these worksheets each school day to complete independently while I do lessons for other children. They have definitely helped him with sounding out words quicker and easier and it has been good to have him do some reading where I know if he read the word and where he is required to focus on reading and sounding out words independently.
